School project : Argumentative writing

Argument : The main function of a school should be to prepare students for life, not further study.

      Personally, I stand firmly on the side which states that the school should be prepare students for life instead of further study and i believe many of you here have the same thought. Well, as the title of the argument points out that a school has multiple functions such as providing education which is obvious but on top of it the school also teaches you another things such as morality and for instance: respect and following the rules; In this case, the school plays an important role in student's developments towards their future.
      People nowadays start to taking education more and more seriously, it is a good thing but however not many people realized that a person's life is not just composed by education, a full complete life is a combination with various of skills and these skills are all essential for a person to be more successful on his journey to future. The practical skills are vital for a student to proceed , the examples of these skills which you can learn from the school are persuasive language and essential writing skills for writing a letter to get a job......etc. Research shows that 40 percents of the knowledge that the students gained from the school does not do any help to their future career unless they aimed at scientific career but that is only a very small amount of people compare to whole . From this we can conclude that as the wheels of our current society rolls faster and faster the needs for practical skills are also getting bigger exponentially and this makes the school transform to reorder its priority by putting preparing students for life on top of the mission list as it is the current trend.
      However, on the other hand of the argumentative I would put further study in the second place of the priority list as it is also important. Indeed the main function of the school should be preparing students for their life but further study is the key to which humankind progress as if all the people in the society only has the abilities to deal ordinary things the road of science would have come to its end which will be disastrous.
      Overall, all schools should have a priority list with prepare students for life being on the top palace and further study the second as these two are the main reasons that schools exist.

A recent news article entitled by "investigators believe Boston bombs were pressure cookers hidden in backpacks, officials say" has grabbed my attention. 

The bomb attack happened in Boston has recently become one of the most popular topic that people discuss about. Feeling deep sorrow towards the victims, people meanwhile started to gather the facts about this horrible tragedy through every media channel. 

The article which i have read consists information from the officials. The article is either biased nor objective as it contains no opinions from the writer. The article explained the components of the explosives ---- shrapnel studded pressure cookers, which were hidden in backpacks and set off by timers.

Similar devices have been applied in an attempted bomb attack in Times Squares in 2010 and also in the terrorist attack in Pakistan happened in early 2010. Second paragraph of the article gives a full scientific explanation about the damage of these pressure cookers can cause and how do they work, which activates the alert to people that sometimes the dangers are from those ordinary items.

The article dropped its full stop by a notification which says that if anyone finds themselves holding important evidences they should turn up to the police office as soon as possible.
